Younger Next Year thanks to OBC

About a year ago, after having attended 2 months of Operation Boot Camp (OBC) workouts, I listened to the audible version of the book “Younger Next Year: A Guide to Living Like 50 Until You’re 80 and Beyond”. Note: there are gender specific versions of the book.

At the time I had already met several of my goals with weight loss being the primary one, but I knew I wanted to continue to improve my overall health. The question was would I continue with OBC or go off and try something else.

I really believe that things happen in our lives for a reason, destiny? Listening to this book would be one of those things that qualify as one for me.

Taken from the book flap “YOUNGER NEXT YEAR” draws on the science of aging to show how men 50 or older can become functionally younger every year for the next five to ten years, and continue to live like fifty-year-olds until well into their eighties. To enjoy life and be stronger, healthier, and more alert. To stave off 70% of the normal decay associated with aging (weakness, sore joints, apathy). And to eliminate over 50% of all illness and potential injuries.

Here is how they recommend doing such: Get out and work your body every day--revamp your diet, keep your mind active, challenge yourself. If that isn’t what OBC is all about I don’t know what is!

It was also the answer to the question I was asking myself; Why go looking for something else if what you have is already working. After attending OBC workouts on a regular basis since, I feel and know that I’m functionally younger than I was 20 years ago!
