ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST

I am now into my fourth month here at OBC and continually settting new goals for myself.
Today was our PT Test and the first question everyone wants to know is "what is your time gonna be today?" Well you know you want to set realistic goals but still go beyond what you think you are capable of really doing. When I first started OBC my mile time was 11.40 and I thought that was AWESOME...giggles....little did I know how fast people really run a mile. I was amazed and thought I would never be "ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE"....well guess what?
This morning I was standing there during warm up and thinking to myself, I am gonna shoot for it and if I don't make it, hey I gave it my best shot......I looked at Herb, my wingman...and said "Herb, what's your goal today buddy?" Herb said, " I gonna try to run with you today Jenna," I just cracked up....I said "Well last month we broke 8 minutes, so let's see if we can shoot for 7, what do you say, you in?"...Herb's reply..."I am gonna try to run with ya girl...I told my wife today, I am gonna run with Jenna today".....giggles....
And so you have it...Herb and I took off....I never saw Herb again, but I knew he was right there on my heels, I did not want to turn around for fear of slowing down. I am not sure why I tried to keep up with Ben, because Ben thinks he setting some sort of world record and I know he will one day.....but I could not run at his pace, so I kept strong at the pace I was going and heard Herb right behind me the entire time...I crossed the line in 7.01 minutes...and Herb crossed in 7.08...WE DID IT!!!!
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST....and another one down and another one down....another goal accomplished...
I would have never thought I could possibly run a 7 minute mile four months ago. Each and every camper out there today did FABULOUS numbers....I don't know everyone's time, however I do know they all blew there first times out of the WATER!!! and for that you should ALL be so very PROUD!!!
I am proud to say I am a graduate of Operation Boot Camp and it has TOTALLY CHANGED MY LIFE!!!
I am so proud of every camper and instructor that is a part of OBC and all their help and support through this journey, and look forward to all the new faces we will have starting Monday...and pushing the rest of us that extra mile that continue to come back....
