Monday: The workout today was titled "Commissary". Basically you paired up with someone and while one of you did a specific exercise the other person ran around the parking lot. You then switched roles. Matt was my partner today and based off the # of exercises we got through neither one of us left anything behind. Actually, I think everyone was pushing hard today. No one wants to let their partner down. The other great thing about this workout was it seemed like a good combination of doing both anaerobic and aerobic exercises. The running sprint being the 1st and the specific exercise being the latter.
Tuesday: 20-20-20 workout today. I heard several of the instructors say this is one of their favorite workouts. This is one of those workouts where you as an individual need to push yourself to get as much out of it as you want.
Wednesday: About a dozen of us met up for a 3+ mile run. Nothing like running in the rain at 05:30 a.m. in the morning to start your day off right! We then gathered afterwords to talk about when and where the next long race would be for us. There was some crazy talk by Josh and a few others about doing a full marathon. The memory of the 1/2 marathon in Oct. was still fresh in my mind, thus the reason I considered it crazy talk.
Thursday: Bring a friend day! Based off the length of the centipede line I think there was a great turnout. I know all of us that have been part of OBC for the last 3 weeks pushed hard to not only benefit ourselves but to show our friends what they too can get out of attending.
Friday: 171 push ups! That's how many we did in our group as part of the workout today. At the beginning of my 1st OBC I could never have imagined being able to do something like this. Now that I've done it I look forward to my next opportunity to set a new personal best.
Saturday: Run, run, run! A group of us made up primarily of OBCers ran today. There was a full moon still out when we gathered at 7 a.m. for the start of the run, but after we all finished as a group after 9-10+ miles the sun was shining. All of us used the OBC mentality, push hard but have fun while you do it.
